Job Descriptions

BIRTH DOULA
Overview
Babylove Doula Services is expanding, and we are looking for passionate Birth Doulas to join our growing team. If you're dedicated to supporting families through the transformative journey of childbirth and believe in client-centered, holistic care, we’d love to have you on board!
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Connection Calls and some email correspondence
  • Provide primary birth doula support to families, offering emotional, physical, and informational care during pregnancy, labor, and birth
  • Act as a backup doula when needed to ensure continuous, high-quality support for clients
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure informed decision-making
  • Attend prenatal visits to build trust and understanding with clients
  • Advocate for clients' birth preferences in a respectful and inclusive manner
  • Maintain availability for on-call support during the client's birth window
  • Support postpartum recovery as needed, ensuring a smooth transition after birth
Qualifications
  • Passionate about family support, reproductive justice, and inclusive care
  • Training and/or certification in birth doula services 
  • Commitment to communication, advocacy, and client empowerment
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, but not mandatory at the time of application)
POSTPARTUM DOULA
Overview
Babylove Doula Services is seeking dedicated Postpartum Doulas to provide essential care to families during the crucial postpartum period. If you thrive in nurturing environments and are passionate about empowering families, this role may be a perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Connection Calls and some email correspondence
  • Provide day and overnight postpartum care, supporting the physical, emotional, and informational needs of families
  • Assist with newborn care, breast-/chest- feeding support, and family adjustment during the postpartum phase
  • Conduct home visits and provide practical guidance to help ease the transition for new parents
  • Prioritize overnight availability to meet the needs of families during this challenging time
  • Offer compassionate, non-judgmental support while respecting family choices
  • Communicate regularly with clients to assess their evolving needs and adjust care accordingly
Qualifications
  • Passionate about holistic care and supporting families through the postpartum period
  • Postpartum doula training and/or certification 
  • Ability to offer both day and overnight home visits (overnight availability prioritized)
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not mandatory at the time of application)
